Cedar Crest Inn is a modest lodging located on a wooded lot in Camden, Maine offering conveniences you need at a cost you deserve. Cedar Crest is considered a high-end motel located at the southern gateway to Camden on Elm Street; a section of Rt 1. There is plenty of free parking should you decide to take the 15 minute walk to Camden village. We are just a short distance from harbors filled with both working and pleasure boats setting the scene for picturesque views. Prepare to set sail on a two hour cruise on Schooner Olad or a four day windjammer experience; you’ll be glad you did! Download this map of Camden Hills State Park and plan a great hike. It is just a few miles away and features 30 miles of hiking trails and panoramic views of the bay.

Venture out and explore Camden’s downtown area and surrounding towns. Many of our guests extend their stay to fully enjoy all that the Camden area has to offer. Or, simply relax in our clean, comfortable guest rooms and enjoy amenities such as free WiFi and our cozy restaurant, Elm Street Grille. We have an outdoor pool, picnic area and outdoor play area. Enjoy watching the songbirds dance along the tops of evergreens that visit 3 acres of professionally landscaped gardens. Cedar Crest Inn is rich in history and was established in 1927. The motel is located just one half mile south of Camden Village. Our motel staff offers a treasure trove of ways to make your visit to Camden, Maine memorable so that you fully experience Midcoast Maine. Camden, Maine is proud to call itself the “Jewel of the Coast.” A quaint seaside town with a harbor full of sail boats with a series of annual festivals running all year round. Notable festivals include the the Summer Harbor Arts Juried Arts & Craft Show and Camden Windjammer Festival. There is always something to do in Camden – just ask us. There’s so much to see and explore in the Rockland and Camden area of Maine, that you may want to extend your stay to continue experiencing the wealth of leisure and recreational pursuits along the Midcoast.

Cedar Crest Inn is open May through October each season. All our rooms are non-smoking and the upper level guest rooms require a flight of stairs. We have patio chairs and tables outside each guest room of the motel and all rooms have an exterior entrance with covered walkway. Guest Room amenities include 37 motel guest rooms in three separate hotel buildings, all guest rooms have access to the outside, all non-smoking hotel rooms, hotel cable television, coffee maker, fax & copy service available in the motel lobby, hand-held hairdryer, individualized AC/Heat units, ironing board and iron, private baths in every hotel room, hotel telephones equipped with voice-mail, complimentary conditioning shampoo, lotion and soaps, wake-up calls available, a restaurant on site adjacent to motel lobby, live Jazz music on Fridays nights, intimate gardens along lodging grounds, outdoor pool open Mid June ~ Mid September, outdoor play area for children, guest laundry, ice room, lobby Internet computer for motel guest use, wireless Internet in all rooms and WiFi in the restaurant.complimentary conditioning shampoo, lotion and soaps.

Building Details:

The Hotel Deluxe Building: This building is the newest building and is preferred by regular guests who return each year to Maine. It rests furthest back away from Route one and houses 12 deluxe rooms, each with 2 queen beds and a mini refrigerator. Upper level rooms require stairs

The Hotel Standard Building: One queen (all one queens rooms require stairs)and 2 double standard bed rooms on both levels with some adjoining guest rooms, are the most economical choice. This building also houses four mini suites; each a slightly larger room that include 2 double beds, a twin sleeper sofa, microwave and mini fridge, This building is closest to Route one, the restaurant and outdoor pool. There are no extra charges extra guests in the mini suites which can house two adults with up to three children or four adults comfortably.

The Hotel “Cabins”: The “Cabin” building houses three popular, individual guest rooms that include one queen bed, wood flooring with oriental area rugs, microwave and mini fridge. Attached, they share a deck with flowers and are set back in a quiet corner behind a fountain and privacy trees.

Rates based on double occupancy ~ Additional $10.00 for each additional guest 16 and over.

Additional $5.00 for each child 6 and older ~ Children 5 and under stay free in parent’s room

Motel Policies:

Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed. $200 per evening charge applied if Pet Policy not acknowledged.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received at least 2 days prior to arrival will not result in charges. Cancellations received within the 2 days will result in a charge for one night’s stay plus applicable taxes.

Go for a hike on Camden Hills State Park’s myriad trails which reward you with spectacular panoramas of the area. During the summer, hike your way to the top of the trail. In our glorious fall, pick apples at an local orchard or take a fall drive. We have handouts for great fall drives offered by the front desk staff of our accommodation. Rent bikes and have them delivered directly to the hotel! Leaf peep on two wheels in the brisk fall air, or take the bikes by ferry to an island and peddle the perimeter. After leaving the motel, go on a self-guided lighthouse tour to see how many can be photographed in one day. Visit the Belted Galloways cows also affectionately known as Oreo cookie cows at Aldermere Farm in Rockport, Maine. Spend the afternoon in our charming library located on the northern edge of downtown Camden village, with the best library view on the East Coast. Try a picnic at nearby harbor park. Our area invites visitors staying at the hotel to play! Whether you want to spend an afternoon at a pick-your-own farm or orchard, go candlepin bowling, or test your agility on Ragged Mountain’s mountain-biking trails, family activities abound and are near Cedar Crest lodging. Walk under the swaying pines of Camden Hills State Park and spend a day hiking the forested foothills. Dive into the cool waters of nearby Megunticook Lake or scout for polished stones and sea glass on Lincolnville Beach.

Camden, Maine is home to historic schooners you may want to observe maneuvering in the harbor. Sail on beautiful Penobscot Bay after a hearty breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Elm Street Grille.
